Zina Deretsky received her Master of Arts in Medical and Biological Illustration from the Department of Art as Applied to Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2001 and is an Inez Demonet scholar as well as a board certified medical illustrator.
She worked for National Library of Medicine as a medical illustrator and research associate. She now works for the National Science Foundation as a science & technology illustrator. She also runs Zina Studio.
