Jodie Jenkinson is an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Communications at the University of Toronto, where she teaches Community-Centred Design Research, Information Visualization, and Web-based Health & Science Design.

Her research interests include information visualization and perception-based design theory, as well as the design and assessment of interactive learning environments. Jodie holds a B.A. in Art History and French Literature from McMaster University and a Masters of Science in Biomedical Communications from University of Toronto. She is a PhD candidate at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Her research examines the role of molecular visualization in fostering understanding of complex dynamic relationships in undergraduate science education. Jodie is the 1997 Recipient of the Vesalius Trust’s Inez Demonet Award.
