John is Senior Medical Illustrator in Visual Communications at Biodynamic Research Corporation in San Antonio Texas, a firm specializing in biomechanical and injury causation consulting (that area between physics and biology) in support of litigation and research. Prior to that he was with the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio, and his own illustration and design business.
He received his BA in Biology from the State University of New York College at Potsdam, and an MS in Medical illustration from the Medical College of Georgia. John is a Board Certified Medical Illustrator, a Fellow of the Association of Medical Illustrators, served 2 terms as Chair of the Board of Governors of the Association of Medical Illustrators, and has chaired and served on several committees. In addition he has presented various workshops and lectures. Over his 33 year career as a Medical Illustrator John has won multiple awards in Medical Illustration, Graphic Design and Fine Art.
