Marcia Hartsock, MA, FAMI, CMI has been a self-employed medical illustrator since 1984, after working nine years as a Medical Illustrator for University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She has won Salon Awards from the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI), including the Ralph Sweet Best of Show Award, and has exhibited at the NYC Society of Illustrators and exhibitions worldwide.
Marcia is a Past President of the AMI and has served on the Board of Governors, and continues to serve her profession as a member of the Board of Certification of Medical Illustrators. Marcia was one of the founding Trustees of the Vesalius Trust in 1989, and more recently has spearheaded the formation of the Vesalius Trust Collection of Art Serving Medicine and Science in partnership with the Lloyd Library and Museum in Cincinnati, OH.
