Immune Blast is a simple game of a match and crush type, but in a completely new shell. Now it is not only a relaxing game, but also an educational one! Find out how your immune cells fight for you. Immunity is an amazing system, where unique cells come together to defeat our eternal enemies: viruses, bacteria, and parasites. After completing this game, thanks to Dr. Doslid you will learn more about immunology, cytology, virology in an exciting and fun way, while thanks to Dr. Brainy you will learn how to behave correctly when you or someone close to you got sick.

Our goal is to prove that games can also educate and education itself can be easy and fun!

Ideation and Workflow

We used several apps to have been in touch: Zoom was being used for a brainstorming session (and the opportunity to see each other), together with it, we used AWW web whiteboard to present and generate concepts. For the quick chats, we used Telegram messenger, and for sharing final files we used Google Drive.

We did not have a specific methodology in creating the concepts. But in my head, I created a system of different levels: environmental, organismic, microscopic. Next, I wondered what could be done within these limits to fit the topic “Apart but together”. For example, on the microscopic level immune system is combined from different cells, but they have one function which unites them. As a concept artist, I generated ideas and then presented them to the team in sketches, then the whole team voted for the idea they liked and gave recommendations on how to improve it.
