Our team entry for the theme “Apart but Together” is a 2D quilt comprised of squares. Each artist created a square representing what gives them connectedness during these tumultuous times. Even though the squares separate each individual artist’s work, each square of art has connection points on each edge, joining it with its neighbors. The border of the piece has running weasels taken from the family crest of Andreas Vesalius, without whom we would not have been brought together to make this collage.
